Flagpole Hill Entry Triangle Project

The Conservancy is currently finishing up the fall planting of the last phase of our multi-year Flagpole Hill landscaping project. Transforming the border of the park along Dunnell Rd with a series of curving, lushly planted beds, this project culminates in a re-landscaped entryway across from the train station. This previously unplanted site will feature beautiful shrubs, perennials, spring-flowering bulbs, and as a centerpiece, a boulder with a dedication plaque noting the park’s historic designation. Plantings were completed in November by a hardy group of Conservancy volunteers with assistance from the Maplewood DPW. The plaque will be installed in the spring. This project was designed by Jennifer C. Ryan, and made possible by generous funding from the Maplewood Open Space Trust Fund.
