Community Fun and Feedback in Memorial Park
Saturday October 8, 11 am to 2 pm, Memorial Park Field #1 at Oakview and Valley St. (rain date Oct. 9)
Join us for good times as we combine family fun with community input on a proposed new interior pathway along Valley St. across from the Municipal Building. Kite making, a scavenger hunt, bocce ball and corn hole are among the activities. Please stop by the corner of Valley St. and Oakview Ave on Saturday, October 8 any time between 11 am and 2 pm to give us your opinions on your park experience and our proposed plans. A mockup of our path/landscaping project will be available, and light refreshments will be served.
The fall edition of our popular Painters in the Park event will take place on October 29. Come out to paint (no previous experience necessary!), or stroll through the park and watch our local artists capture the park’s beauty. Works from this session as well as from our spring event will be displayed at the Maplewood train station in November, with an exhibition opening on November 12.
