The Conservancy, in partnership with the Township of Maplewood, has submitted a long-term, comprehensive Tree Replacement Master Plan for review by the New Jersey Historic Preservation Office. The plan, which was approved by the Maplewood Historic Preservation Commission, was developed by Landscape Consultant Jennifer C. Ryan, and is the result of years of careful research and consultation. It evaluates the health and life expectancy of all of the park’s 600 trees, and proposes a 10-year replacement plan, based on historical plantings and current suitability.
